Now that we got that out of the way, what do we see ? We see what we erroneously thought was a very young boy standing on a carpet labeled “Balenciaga Hotels & Resorts”, with the brand’s logo (2 b’s back to back and interlaced, as in “bareback”, although a double ‘b’ is often also used as an abbreviation for “baby”) between its feet.

Right next to it, on its left, lies a sweater with a hoodie folded in a very original manner indeed, as if it were two big balls with a cap on top, suggesting the thing is “uncut”, as they say – we prefer “intact”.

On its right, we can see a long white candle fixed atop a beer can.

At the edge of the carpet, in front of it, are two rolls of duct tape on each side.

Behind it is a drawing of an ominous creature with its mouth right open, ready, it seems, to eat it alive. A little farther left is a jungle-colored chair. Above the chair, a drawing featuring a creature with two red horns.

On the left wall (that is to say on its right) are a lot of drawings and illustrations which are difficult to decipher without a professional image enhancer. But, among the inscriptions on the part of the wall that is leading to what might be a door, we are able to distinguish a series of dates.

Then, of course, there’s the teddy bear, looking really depressed, probably because he’s reminiscing about something. But what ? Well, the cartoon speech bubble seems to be giving an indication : its upper part encircles the far-southern end of a very poorly drawn African continent…
